Weather

This portal provides two special features for Texas vineyards and growers: cumulative degree-day data and daily high and low temperatures. These data are provided for numerous locations around the state. This type of climatic information can be useful when you are making decisions, either during the planning stages of establishing a vineyard or during the daily routine of managing an existing vineyard. Other pages in this portal provide current weather conditions and forecasts, and explain the use of evapotranspiration rates to schedule irrigation. Links are also provided to sites posting daily evapotranspiration data from several Texas weather stations. Our Texas Climatic Data page provides links to sources of climatic information that are helpful to those planning a vineyard.
