Trade Reports

The Office of Trade and Economic Analysis (OTEA), International Trade Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, provides several statistical reports on beverage imports and exports. The Texas Winegrape Network provides links directly to the data tables on wine imports and exports. Additional reports related to the wine industry are issued occasionally and are listed under "Special Reports" on the Processed Foods and Beverages Index Page.

OTEA also provides several "Quick-Reference" tables reporting quantity and value of U.S. beverage imports and exports, including wine, by country. Select the reports of interest related to wine imports. Each table presents both monthly data and year-to-date data. Thus, December tables provide annual totals, which are the data sought by many researchers. Other users seek the most recent figures, so the latest monthly tables are also provided.

Trade statistics can also be obtained from the Foreign Agricultural Service's U.S. Trade Internet System. The FAO site features a searchable database of United States exports, imports and re-exports of agricultural products with the World. Search the Bulk, Intermediate, and Consumer-Oriented [BICO] reports. The "BICO" Report provides U.S. trade data on agricultural, fish and forest products. It has proven a useful planning tool for companies, trade associations, and public agencies interested in analyzing and tracking U.S. agricultural trade trends worldwide. It is maintained by USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) in Washington, D.C. The "BICO" Report provides U.S. agricultural export and import data on Bulk commodities, high-value Intermediate, and Consumer-Oriented foods and beverages. FAO U.S. Trade Internet System
