About The Texas Winegrape Network
The Texas Winegrape Network is a comprehensive Internet resource providing research-based information and communication services for commercial grape producers. The network comprises the primary informational website that you are currently accessing and the largest international listserv devoted to commercial viticulture, the Viticulture Discussion List. Two special topic websites are also part of the network: the Texas Pierce's Disease Program website and the SERA-IEG-14 website. Descriptions and links to these affiliates are provided below.
Viticulture Discussion List
The purpose of the Viticulture Discussion List is to encourage and facilitate worldwide communications among individuals interested in the commercial production of grapes. The Viticulture list is an international forum for discussion of viticulture production practices, problems, research results, marketing, or industry issues. More than 400 subscribers from over 20 countries are currently participating in the discussion. Participants include grape growers, scientists and educators.
Texas Pierce's Disease Program
The Pierce's disease problem in Texas is being addressed with a coordinated multi-agency program that combines the multidisciplinary research and Extension expertise of numerous scientists and educators. The website provides information on the program objectives, participating scientists, progress reports, meetings, publications, and related links.
SERA-IEG-14
The Southern Extension Research Activity Information Exchange Group was created to facilitate coordinated research and Extension activities among university faculty and federal researchers in support of commercial viticulture in the Southeastern United States.
